8-Bit X-Mas

8-Bit X-Mas is an album that I made with The Playground Ensemble. It contains arrangements of a bunch of holiday music for acoustic instruments alongside 8-bit electronic sounds (think of an old Nintendo).

Learning Online

I've been an adopter of "flipped classroom" pedagogy for several years. The basic idea behind this philosophy is that classroom time might be more effective if it focused on the sort of activities that students need to learn, rather than acquisition and memorization of data via lectures.

My classrooms tend to be full of things to do - write music, listen to music, analyze music, discuss music - and that means that disseminating information gets shifted to out-of-class time. I share information with my students via pedagogical videos, which are available to the public on my YouTube channel.
